Milo in2Cricket and T20 Blast for kids

The Spotswood Cricket Club provides cricket for all ages, beginning with the MILO in2CRICKET program aimed at boys and girls aged 5-7 and of all abilities. Absolutely no prior experience with cricket is necessary! MILO in2CRICKET is Australian cricket’s entry level participation program.

The MILO in2CRICKET program is dedicated to helping kids learn how to play cricket! All MILO in2CRICKET coordinators are trained volunteers, devoted to ensuring your kids have a fun and safe experience. The activities are designed to be inclusive, action-packed and fun! They are well organised and help kids to develop social skills, physical fitness, sportsmanship and basic cricket knowledge.

Spotswood is also offering MILO T20 Blast. It is a super fun, social, safe, cricket program for boys and girls aged 8-10. The program is much shorter than traditional cricket, with a maximum of 90 minutes playing time. All the equipment is supplied and the games take place at the same venue each week, at a local cricket club or community centre.

JEREMY BROWN 1stXI Captain 2016/17

Jeremy Brown has been selected to lead the 1st XI this year in the VTCA Senior Division. Browny has been with the club for the last 2 years and has proven to be a very good leader on and off the field.

Browny takes over from Andrew Dickinson who has decided to take a year off from cricket, however, we are sure to see him around the club. Best of luck Dicko on your well deserved break.

The Spotswood Cricket Club wishes Browny all the best for the year ahead in this new role.

83rd AGM Monday 23rd May 7:30pm

Annual General Meeting of the Spotswood Cricket Club Inc. will be held at

Compton & Green 1/240 Geelong road West Footscray Monday 23 May, 2016 Commencing 7.30 pm

I appeal to all members to make this season’s AGM a priority. There are many ways, both large and small, in which each member can help with the massive task of running a large club such as ours. Please give some serious thought to taking a place on the Committee to help meet these challenges. If you know of anyone interested in playing in any grade we encourage you to promote our club. Please contact one of the Committee members so they can make contact or just bring them along to preseason training. Expressions of interest for Captains of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th vets & Ladies XIs are now invited. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing you all at the Annual General Meeting. A light supper and liquid refreshments will be available at the conclusion of the meeting.

Yours in Cricket

Haydn Fletcher President SCC Inc
