2026 PRESIDENTS LUNCH
What another fantastic Presidents lunch, our 17th. A great day sponsored by Witt Marine and Distinctive Finance, where 150 people attended with guest speakers, Stuart MacGill, Daniel Harford and Nick Maxwell. Food Catered by our Sponsor Mona Castle hotel, which was sensational, thanks Taylor and Sammy. The day again supported the Male Hug group, where CEO and Founder Tony Rabah attended with a guest appearance by AFL legend Kevin Sheedy. Tony Schibeci MC’d the day again in a Professional manner. I would like to thanks the companies that supported our fundraiser, Reece, Urban Salvage, WeldCo, Burma’s hats, Bunnings, Medway golf club and Spoke N Sprocket, where a few thousand dollars will be donated to the Male Hug after the event. It just gets better every year. Thanks for everyone who attended and made it another great day.

Senior Women’s Cricket Coach
We’re very pleased to announce our Women’s Coach – Sandeep (Sonny!) Mandalika
A huge thank you to Sonny for putting his hand up to help kick off our women’s team.
Spotswood hasn’t had women’s cricket since 2017, so we’re super excited to get a team back up and running!
The team will be competing in the NWMCA Women’s Sunday T20 Competition

Due to Safety Concerns and the previous venue in Derrimut not fit for purpose we have unfortunately made the decision to move venues. The club has a duty of care to provide members a safe and fit for purpose training environment.
Pre-Season Senior Training now on Thursdays August 14th to September 25th , 6-7:30pm!
3 practice nets and 2 bowling machines are available for our session

NEW SCC Coach Paul Baker
After 6 years Dan Schuppan will step down as Club Coach. Dan has committed to still play senior cricket next year with Spotswood. In those 6 years we had 3 grand final appearances, winning one, one loss and a draw during Covid Lockdowns, which, we were in a good position to win.
Dan has changed our culture and really appreciate his outstanding service to our club.
We are very pleased to announce that Paul Baker has been appointed Non Playing Coach over the next two years.
Paul brings a wealth of experience and Coaching capability to dedicate time to bring our skills to another level.
