At Spotswood Cricket Club, we’re committed to playing within the spirit of the game and in a way that ensures integrity, fairness and safety for all. That’s where policies and codes of behaviour come into play – it’s our commitment to you that we have standards we expect all club members and supporters to adhere to.
We will be continuing work in this area throughout 2018–19, but for now, below are our main policies and codes of conduct.
Safeguarding children and young people
Australian Cricket is working to ensure everyone participating in cricket, including children and young people, has a safe, inclusive and fun experience. To do this they have created a Child Safe Framework made up of the Looking After Our Kids Code of Behaviour and Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People.
Spotswood Cricket Club has endorsed Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People. We are currently working through an action plan to ensure we comply with the policy and can implement the Looking After Our Kids Code of Behaviour for Affiliated Associations and Clubs, which we will share with you soon. Bear with us while we work through this process.
If at any time you have concerns about the safety of children or young people at the club, please contact our Junior Administrator, Leonard Robbins, 0447 876 515 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
